MuttNation Names RRR to Mutts Across America 2021 List!

Picture
Rescue, Rehome, Repeat of South Louisiana ("RRR") is proud to announce that it has been selected as one of this year’s MuttNation "Mutts Across America," presented by MuttNation Foundation and Tractor Supply Company. MuttNation selects 50 Mutts Across America annually, one in each state to receive a donation in the amount of $5000.

Adoption Rate, Volunteerism, & Community Presence are just a few of the criteria that Miranda Lambert & the MuttNation Foundation used when choosing Rescue Rehome Repeat as one of their 50 “carefully-vetted animal shelters” in their 2021 Mutts Across America grant program. Bev Lambert, Miranda’s mom and The MuttNation founder stated that they “feel we have now developed a criterion list through which we hand pick the “best of the best” shelters.”

Mutts Across America came as a total surprise to RRR and the other 2021 recipients, as this isn’t a grant that anyone can apply to for consideration. Instead MuttNation’s board makes their decision and then waits until the awards are received before making the announcement.

When RRR President, Terri Dunlap, opened the letter that included a grant for $5,000 from MuttNation’s Mutts Across America, she said that she was “Unbelievably shocked. We never expected this. We love what we do and were super honored.”

When speaking about Mutts Across America recipients Miranda Lambert said that “"We know that these funds will help shelters continue to provide a great environment for their pets, employees, volunteers and the communities at-large that they serve." Miranda has always had a love for animals and even found her pup Delilah while volunteering at a local shelter. This passion led Miranda and Bev Lambert to create the MuttNation Foundation in 2009 to help find safe and happy homes for as many dogs as possible.

RRR Officers, Committee and Board Members, wonderful volunteers, and supporters, want to give a huge thank you to Miranda Lambert and The MuttNation Foundation. Rescue Rehome Repeat of South Louisiana is dedicated to finding forever homes for abandoned and displaced animals while educating the public to be more responsible pet owners. At RRR of South LA we have seen it all when it comes to man’s best friend. But despite the misfortunes these animals have endured, our commitment to them remains steadfastly clear: to provide loving, emotionally stable, nurturing foster care for them while they wait for their for their forever families. To donate, please go to our donation page.

Through no fault of their own, our animals found themselves in kill shelters or other homeless situations. We are dedicated to making a positive difference in these animals lives from the moment they enter our foster program. Our goal is to help them in every way we can…emotionally, socially, physically…so that the transition into their forever homes will be as smooth as possible. We strive to match our pets with the best family possible, working through as many applications and interviews as necessary to find a home that offers the most fulfilling, enriched life.

On behalf of all the dogs waiting for a forever family, we thank you for your interest in improving the lives of these deserving animals.
